First Lady Dr. Pich Chanmony Launches "10,000 Riel 10,000" Campaign to Support Kantha Bopha Foundation

PHNOM PENH, May 31, 2024 – The “10,000 Riel 10,000” campaign, set to run from June 1 to June 30, 2024, has already garnered significant early support, with the Kantha Bopha Foundation Cambodia receiving donations from 38,170 people, totaling 657,777,034 riels and 96,212 US dollars as of 17:00 yesterday. Remarkably, these contributions were made even before the campaign's official launch.

This morning, Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Honorary President of the Kantha Bopha Foundation of Cambodia, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response. She noted that the early donations reflect the strong support and solidarity of the Cambodian people.

Dr. Chanmony extended heartfelt thanks to all donors who have embraced the spirit of "Khmer help Khmer" by contributing to the campaign. She emphasized that the significant participation since the campaign's announcement underscores the generous spirit of the nation.

Furthermore, Dr. Chanmony has called on all philanthropists and those interested in supporting the campaign to continue their contributions through the end of June, helping to further the foundation's vital work.
